We are pleased to announce (many of you have been waiting for this feature) it is now possible to add YouTube videos to Likexo items, this way not only may have information on your likes, but also with videos of them.

We invite you to share with other Likexo users those videos you like most about your artist, your band, your song, your book or your favorite movie; you can also vote those videos that you draw more attention, and even share them with friends via other social networks.

Remember that any suggestion to improve the experience in Likexo is welcome.

There is a new feature at Likexo: The images galleries.

From now, the items have multiple images. These images may be voted by users, and the most popular image will be the item avatar. (We love democracy! )

So, now, users can upload any image that he/she wants (Ok, not any! Don’t be abusive!), or vote the ones that he/she likes (or dislikes!).

Ok, is not a great or fancy feature, but is a one that many people asked about. We wanna have a mix of innovation and give users what they want.

At last, after a long time –and many issues solved– we are finally in our beta version!

There are no huge changes from alpha to this version, and is still a closed one; in fact is simply a change of attitude.

In beta, we are planning to invite many people from now (in our pending list) and we will give you some invitations to participate in likexo with your friends (is more fun!).

Also, we are planning to add new features (and thinking where to begin) to get a better user experience: integration with other platforms, more categories, and some really cool changes!

Many of the ideas have been received in our alpha phase. So, we added a “Make a Suggestion” button in order to leave all your suggestions. Don’t be afraid to tell us what would you like to see on likexo.

During the last 3 weeks we have been in a private alpha, making testing of our site with some friends and many people subscribed before.

In this time we found many bugs -many already known bugs- and we have fixed them, getting a better Likexo for all.

We have been very busy improving some major performance issues, improving recommendations, upgrading searches, and fixing another bunch of little bugs. We know there are some others now, but we have them under control , and over time we’ll fix them.

We wanna thank all people that reported any bug -or have made any suggestion- in Likexo. That is the way for us to make a better application.

We are working now fixing more bugs and developing new features, so keep using Likexo, and helping us to make a better one just for you!

After a lot of work, effort, and many days without sleeping; we are ready to open our very first version of Likexo.

We have sent invitations to few people which were subscribed as beta-testers, and in the following days we are going to invite more and more people. Those interested can still register at the home of Likexo, and in a few days surely will be invited.

Likexo is a platform that lets you obtain information about things that you like and add them to your profile. From there the system recommends new items that you might like, as a practical way of discovering new things (or had forgotten that you liked). The items and information contained are created and edited collaboratively by users.

Today, at the alpha launch, we have more than 6 million items, mainly oriented to movies, music, books and personalities, but these categories also will be expanded and we expect to have more in a few days. By now the platform is only in English, but it will be in other languages as soon as we can.

Ok, ok… don’t get angry. We are doing the best can we do.

Time ago, almost 3 months we opened the inscription to be beta tester in likexo, but we didn’t open the public beta of our site. We sorry, we want to open this public beta as soon as we can, but we don’t like to open a beta with several bugs or with less features.

The people of development and design are working so hard the last 3 months and are getting a really beauty and simple user interface that is working in (almost) ever internet browser. Be sure that this is a hard work for all the team.

When the beta is ready we will email you (if you are subscripted, of course) to try likexo, and we want to show us a nice likexo. A likexo pretty, a likexo that is working fine, and many of the features that we want to include.
